About Perkins Bar & Bistro, 35 years in the making…

The last few years have been incredibly exciting for The Perkins Family; we’ve learnt a lot from the opening of baresca and escabeche, together with listening to friends and locals of Perkins. We’re taking that new, modern outlook and implementing it at the location where it all began for our family 35 years ago.

Our Food Philosophy.

The new Perkins Bar & Bistro offers the dishes we have fallen in love with over the last three decades – all to be enjoyed in a relaxed and informal space – modern and classic seasonal dishes that commit to ingredients sourced from quality suppliers, local when possible. 

We have an honest approach to cooking, letting great ingredients speak for themselves to produce freshly cooked dishes served without fuss.

New Menus.

Amongst the brand new offering there’s sharer-board starters and ‘Bistro bites’ alongside main plates, daily specials with dishes from Perkins’ very own smokehouse. There’s an ever-changing daily Prix Fixe, quintessential afternoon teas and our well-renowned Sunday offering is extended until 5pm.Our drinks offering is a stripped back, accessible wine list of 60 bins and a focus on superb aperitifs including gin & tonics, spritz & cocktails, alongside new local draught beers onto the bar.”

New Interior.

The re-designed interior reflects Perkins Bar & Bistro’s new credentials – a more relaxed countryside bistro feel, somewhere you’d be equally happy to pop in for a pint and a snack or enjoy a beautiful lunch or dinner. Think rustic tables alongside bistro seating, brass light fittings and bar seats amid reclaimed textures and materials.
